Elías Merino, in his compositions, explores and studies the field recordings, foley art, electroacoustic creation and the manipulation of sound with digital technologies or processes with analogical systems. He composed the contemporary dance opus “Ave María” performed several times in Conservatoire of Dance of Madrid and took part in the Trip-hop experimental band, Homeworks. After these two projects, he released his first solo album named “Throes”, published by Escala; a way of spectral sound inspired by Romanticism and his decadence in XIX century. Elías Merino is one of the components of the musical formation Nuhg, whose first work "Timeless corridor" has been published for Marbre Negre. Sometimes he composes music and adds the soundtrack for short films, 3D animation works and collaborates with visual and Stopmotion artists. Also he has funded with The Roofman, Kid Fun Area, using as principal idea, the most horrifying subrealism and the concept of the absurd thing in the nature of the human being. With this project they have fulfilled two albums: "Kid Fun Area" and "Circus", based in sounds garbage, circuit bending and claustrophobic atmospherers.
Inner reflection.
"Inner reflection" describes the experience of learning and knowledge source based on "Tabula rasa" itself of Empiricism. The interpretation of the "tabula rasa" in Inner reflection is manifested in the idea of a mirror facing another mirror, in dialogue between the two, will cast its reflection in a concentric infinite loop, being the reciprocal refractive writing process knowledge and experience in the human mind, a confusing process, cyclic and disoriented.
